Description: This project consisted of an emergency
generator fueling system and make-up
water storage tanks/piping for the water
cooled air conditioning system.
Designed and built on a fast/track, the
generator fueling system consisted of (2)
25,000 gallon, double-wall, fiberglass
underground storage tanks for diesel
fuel , EnviroFlex double -wall
underground piping, and EBW 960
AutoStik II leak detection system.
The
make-up cooling water storage and
piping system included (2) 10,000 gallon
single-wall, fiberglass underground
tanks, 3” single-wall fiberglass piping,
Goulds G.S. Series submersible turbine
pumps, and water level sensing system
wired to the Building Management
System. Driven sheet piling with well
point dewatering systems were installed
for both tank fields to protect the
building footers and to reduce impact on
the other trades.
The project required
coordination between design team,
general contractor, and several Owner’s
representatives and was completed on
time to the satisfaction of general
contractor and Owner. |
